Payment Methods

We accept several payment methods:

• Bank Transfer: Direct payments are accepted for all orders. International transactions can also be processed securely via Wise.com
• Credit Card: Payments are processed through Stripe, ensuring a secure and efficient transaction experience.
• Paypal: A trusted platform for both domestic and international payments.
• POS Payments: Available exclusively for in-person purchases, processed through our SumUP device.

Pricing

• Prices do not include VAT unless you are logged in with your account.
• VAT rates are determined based on the shipping address, with each country having its own VAT percentage or being exempt in the case of exports.
• Prices are displayed on each product page and are subject to change without restrictions at any time, in line with market and inflation trends. However, we make every effort to keep our customers informed about any upcoming changes through our social media channels on Facebook and Instagram, as well as our newsletter.

Deposit and Installments

• Stock Items: Payment is required in full after your order is confirmed. Once we receive confirmation of your payment, we’ll get your order shipped out to you as soon as possible.
• Sport Collection items on backorder: Payment is required with a deposit of 20% at order and balance upon completion.
• Armeria Collection items on backorder: Payment is required with a deposit of 20% at order and balance upon completion.
• Bespoke creations: Starting from 150,00 € (VAT excluded) deposit is required for the design, which includes up to 2 reviews. After the design is agreed upon, you can choose to pay in installments or with a deposit of 20% and balance upon completion. All payments need to be made in full before shipping.

Operational Costs (Compliant with PSD2)

At Malleus Martialis, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our pricing. Certain payment methods, including credit/debit cards and PayPal, incur transaction fees charged by third-party providers such as Stripe and PayPal. To cover these processing costs, we apply a fixed operational fee of 4% to transactions made via these methods.

Rationale for Operational Costs

In accordance with the EU Payment Services Directive (PSD2), surcharges on specific card payments are prohibited. However, the 4% operational fee reflects legitimate expenses directly incurred for payment processing, including:

• Transaction fees imposed by third-party providers.
• Currency conversion charges for international transactions.
• Administrative costs to sustain third-party services’ accounting and maintenance

Application of Operational Costs

• Credit/Debit Card and Paypal Transactions: The fixed 4% fee reflects processing charges and potential conversion expenses.
• Bank Transfers (ordinary or though Wise.com): Offered as a cost-free alternative for customers seeking to avoid additional charges.

Commitment to Transparency

Operational costs are limited to part of the actual fees charged by payment providers and are clearly disclosed during the checkout process. We encourage customers to use Bank Transfer for a fee-free payment option.
