Fencing like a Captain of Venture

The XIX Early Sidesword, with its parallel profile taper, the fullered section and the finger ring is a very fine example of the sidesword’s progenitor in the white arms evolution line, in the first half of 15th century. Against metropolitan legends, the finger rings already appeared in the mid 14th c., and they are found on two handed swords and baselard swords too. The XIX Early Sidesword is a sport version of the historical one, simplified and designed specifically for HEMA.
