The Spanish Mercenary
Vencedor Montante is based on the Renaissance War Two Handed Sword used from the beginning of the 16th century. The reference treatises, including Domingo Luis Godinho’s Arte de Esgrima and Luis Pacheco de Narváez’s Nueva Ciencia are of Iberian origin. These masters, from the Verdadera Destreza School, explain its use in the naval field, but also in the urban environment, in threat situations. The majesty of this sword made her legendary in the hands of condottieri and mercenaries. A mention goes to M° Ton Puey for his precious advice and research.
