The Leatherworking Set is based on european archeological findings and a fascinating manuscript from Nuremberg also known as “Landauer Twelve Brother’s House”. This book was started in the 15th c. by a german trader’s grandson, whose grandfather, named Mendel, had established the” Twelve Brothers House Foundation” (Zwölfbrüderhausstiftungen), where a dozen older artisans were given a place to live in exchange for their work.
