A Star among Stars

“S’i’ fosse foco, ardere’ il mondo;”

– Cecco Angiolieri, Sonetti

La Splendente is inspired by a Hermann Historica’s original, Auction 61 – 2.05.2011. and it was our first high end work, dating back to 2015. The dagger was entirely forged, etched and polished by hand. This fine piece has an iron handle, and it is called scheibendolch or sfondagiaco for its peculiar anatomy, that had the purpose of entering in the parts left uncovered by the plate armour, breaking the chainmail.
