The Scappi Cooking Set is based on the treatise Opera di M.Bartolomeo Scappi, cuoco secreto di Papa Pio V (1570) by Cook Bartolomeo Scappi, who was active in the 16th century and was one of the fathers of the italian cuisine. He was the Vatican Kitchens’ official chef under Pope Pio IV and Pope Pio V.
